We make bold, craveable, 100% plant-based comfort food that anyone can enjoy, whether you are fully plant-based, plant-curious, or just here because it tastes incredible. No compromise, no lecture, no missing out. Just really good food that happens to be better for you and the planet.
how it all started.
Unburger began in Dearborn in 2018 with a simple mission: make plant-based food that people actually crave. Founder Christopher Oliver had turned to a plant-based diet after his own health challenges, and kept running into the same problem. There were almost no places serving plant-based food that felt satisfying, familiar, and genuinely fun to eat.
So he built one. What started as a small local spot grew, with the team that joined in 2021, into a fast-casual brand with a loyal following across Metro Detroit.

Everything on our menu is 100% plant-based, and all of it is built to be crave-worthy. Signature smash-style burgers. Crispy Chick’n sandwiches and nuggets. Seasoned fries and loaded sides. Creamy dairy-free shakes, kombucha on tap, and a rotating lineup of desserts.
Fan favorites like The Unoriginal, Hot Hunny Chick’n, and Hippie Hash have earned us local awards and features on Channel 7, FOX 2, CBS, and Eater. Come hungry.
